Question: What can you tell us about the interchangeable elements for A-T wireless microphone systems?
Answer: The 3000 Series (Fourth Generation) wireless systems, 5000 Series (Third Generation) wireless systems and 6000 Series wireless systems are recent additions to our wireless product line, and these systems have introduced many useful features. This week we will focus on the new interchangeable microphone capsules for the handheld microphone transmitters, using the 3000 Series transmitter as our example.
The ATW-T3202 handheld transmitter body comes with either an ATW-C510 dynamic or ATW-C710 condenser interchangeable cardioid capsule, and its industry-standard thread allows for the use of four additional A-T capsules, plus other compatible capsules. This also means that our capsules can be used on other brands of wireless transmitters that are equipped with the industry-standard thread. Below you will find a description of each of the six capsules available. (Please note that the 5000 Series and 6000 Series do not have configuration packages; all components are available separately.)

ATW-C5400

To install the capsule onto the ATW-T3202 transmitter body, simply align the thread at the base of the capsule with the thread on the transmitter and turn the capsule in a clockwise direction until snug. Do not overtighten.
To remove the capsule from the ATW-T3202 transmitter body, grasp the capsule below the head case (where the Audio-Technica name and logo appear) with one hand and grasp the transmitter body with the other. While holding the body, turn the capsule in a counterclockwise direction until the two separate.
Please note that interchangeable microphone capsules are compatible with 3000 (4th gen), 5000 (3rd gen) and 6000 Series handheld transmitters, as well as other manufacturers’ microphones that are equipped with the industry-standard thread.
