Audio Solutions Question of the Week: How Do I Change the AF Meter on the 3000 Series 4th Generation Receiver?

Question: How do I change the AF meter on the 3000 Series 4th Generation receiver?

Answer: The 3000 Series 4th Generation ATW-R3210 wireless receiver shows the AF (audio level) meter on the right side of the display screen while in the standard view. This meter may display either the transmitter level that is received from the connected 3000 Series transmitter or the receiver audio output level. By default, the receiver is set to display the output level of the receiver. The receiver output level may be controlled via the receiver menu.

Before you begin, please note the following:

  • If the procedure times out after an extended period, you may have to restart the process from the beginning.
  • To move one step back in the procedure, press the Back button.
  • To cancel and return to the home screen, press and hold the Back button.

  1. With the receiver powered on, press the Control Dial to display the menu.

**Note, the menu bar will appear on the right side of the display.**

  1. Turn the Control Dial counterclockwise to scroll down two places to Audio. Press the Control Dial to select Audio.
  2. Turn the Control Dial counterclockwise to lower the receiver’s audio output level. The level moves in +/- 2dB increments.

  • The default is set to the maximum output level of 0dB.

You may also note that in the performance view on the receiver, both the transmitter and receiver levels are displayed simultaneously. This allows you to monitor the gain structure between your transmitter and receiver audio levels.

The gain level may be adjusted in the transmitter menu.

  2. Press the Down button two times to display Gain. Press the Set button to select Gain.
