Audio-Technica, a leader in the world of professional audio equipment, has collaborated with MotoAmerica, North America's premier motorcycle racing series, to enhance the series’ broadcast audio, including for its latest video release, "Drive for Glory."

Drive For Glory: Motorcycle Road Racing and Freestyle Motocross Riders Tee Off in Epic Showdown

"Drive for Glory" takes four adrenaline junkies on the golf course for some smack-talking, a lot of laughs, and some pretty good golf. The video documents two top-level MotoAmerica road racers, Josh Hayes and Cameron Petersen, competing against two of the best freestyle motocross racers,  Keith Sayersand Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg.

Audio-Technica's System 10 Camera-Mount wireless microphone system and MT830cW lavalier microphones were at the heart of the production, providing a complete battery-powered solution that ensured crystal-clear audio to capture the banter between the players. Complemented by AT897 shotgun microphones, the combination of the close and distant miking techniques brings the viewer onto the course with the players. AT2021 condenser microphones were mounted inside the golf carts to capture the team’s conversation while driving around the course. The audio fidelity achieved in the "Drive for Glory" video was of the highest quality, and the MotoAmerica Media crew was able to quickly deploy the equipment.

"Partnering with MotoAmerica has allowed us to showcase the power and precision of Audio-Technica's audio equipment in every aspect of their productions," says Brent Chamberlin, Sales Engineer – Professional Broadcast at Audio-Technica. "Not only do the microphones need to handle the extreme sound pressure levels on the racetrack, but they also need the durability to withstand any weather condition and the capacity to pick up the subtleties of conversation, as we hear in the ‘Drive for Glory’ video.”

In addition to demonstrating the broadcast team’s technical prowess, "Drive for Glory" is a testament to the shared values of innovation and excellence that define Audio-Technica and MotoAmerica. “Audio-Technica is raising the bar for our race broadcasts, and the broadcasting team has also provided a quick solution for putting this production together,” adds Doug Hamann, Managing Director, Content & Production at Krave Media, which, like MotoAmerica, is a subsidiary of Krave Group LLC. “By pushing the boundaries of what is possible in our production, this collaboration promises to inspire and captivate audiences everywhere.”
