Connecting analogue turntables using Bluetooth

Many modern turntables offer Bluetooth functionality to allow you to connect wirelessly to other Bluetooth compatible devices, such as speakers and headphones. If your turntable model does not feature Bluetooth capability and you wish to benefit from wireless connectivity then there are options available to you.

In order to connect your non-Bluetooth turntable to a Bluetooth device, such as powered (active) Bluetooth speakers, you will need to also use an external Bluetooth transmitter. This device simply connects into the analogue RCA audio outputs from the turntable, enabling a wireless connection to your speakers.

Audio Technica does not manufacture such a product directly, however, there are numerous third-party Bluetooth transmitters available for purchase online. These transmitters vary in quality, so it is prudent to do some research on devices in your price range before making a purchase.
