The AT618a disc stabiliser is compatible with most of Audio-Technica's range of turntables. It fits over the turntable’s centre spindle to hold the record firmly in place, reducing resonance and improving sound quality. It can also help flatten records that are bowed. The stabiliser is constructed of machined brass with a protective rubber cover.

We do not recommend using this disc stabiliser with the AT-LP60X (all variants), the AT-LP2X and both the AT-LP3 and AT-LP3XBT. All of our other Audio-Technica turntables at this time are compatible.

The AT618a weighs 600g and this is the maximum weight that Audio-Technica's compatible turntables have been tested with. There are heavier stabilisers available on the market but these cannot currently be recommended for Audio-Technica turntables.

The AT618a is also not suitable for use with any turntable that features a suspended sub-chassis. If you're uncertain whether your turntable uses a suspended sub-chassis then we recommend checking with the manufacturer of your turntable. No Audio-Technica turntables use this construction-type.
