Born from the million-selling ATH-M50x professional studio monitoring headphones, the critically acclaimed ATH-MSR7 combined  Hi-Res Audio compatibility with an ultra-comfortable design for studio-quality music-on-the-move. Audio-Technica is announcing the next generation model of this premium landmark headphone, the ATH-MSR7b, further enhancing the sonic performance and introducing a lighter, more portable design.

At 53 grams lighter than the original headphones but with no compromise in quality, the ATH-MSR7b is truly geared for listening on-the-go. Soft memory foam headband and earpads provide a relaxed, secure but comfortable fit for long listening sessions when travelling.

The exclusively tuned 45mm ‘True Motion Driver’ feature a diamond-like carbon coated diaphragm that delivers increased rigidity for faster response times and reduced distortion, resulting in a more accurate audio reproduction.

The headphone’s performance is further enhanced through proprietary ‘Dual-layer Air-Control’ technology, inherited from the ATH-MSR7. Acoustic resistors are installed in this design for better audio clarity.

The ATH-MSR7b is the perfect partner for today’s high-spec portable digital audio players (DAP) featuring a balanced cable output connection. Compared to a common headphone cable, a balanced connection reduces signal interference which causes sound distortion. Plug the supplied 4.4mm balanced cable into compatible DAP models and the headphone’s true audio potential will be unlocked. An optional Audio-Technica HDC112A/1.2 2.5mm balanced cable for connection to the DAPs with 2.5mm headphone output.

New detachable cables featuring A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors are employed for superior left/right channel separation and reduced crosstalk – an upgrade on its predecessor’s 3.5mm jack connectors.

The headphones come with a protective pouch to keep them in peak condition when travelling, a 1.2m 4.4mm 5 pole to A2DC connector balanced cable and a 1.2m 3.5mm headphone plug to A2DC connector cable are also supplied.

The ATH-MSR7b arrive in classic black and stylish gunmetal finishes.
